BaseLok Magnet Insertion Tool

The BaseLok Magnetization tool drastically simplifies the assembly of BaseLok clamps. The tool, and by extension your clamps, have a preferred alignment (note the N and S markings on each end) with north pointing up and south pointing down. Aligning all of your magnets in this orientation will help ensure consistency across your entire collection, simplifying storage and keeping parts interchangeable.

If you choose to supply your own magnets, the tool itself uses two 5mm x 3mm disc magnets. In this case only, it is recommended to superglue the magnets in place due the amount of hard use it will receive. Place the first magnet down on your worksurface with the magnet's north pole facing up. (There are several methods to find the polarity of a magnet on google, or alternatively you can simply nominate one side to be 'north' now and just ensure consistency across the rest of your clamps with that first magnet as reference.)
